About my sweaty hands
I have hyperhidrosis: my palms sweat excessively, even when I'm not exercising or nervous. They sweat when it's cold, when I'm relaxed, when I'm sitting completely still.
It started when I was little. Exam papers went soft under my hands until they pilled and tore, and so did my mom's birthday cards :(
My parents took me to doctor after doctor.
For a long time I hid them: a quick wipe on my jeans before every handshake, or a fist bump instead. Now I just shake the hand. And when Brother's tail splits, I sew it back up. He's my fourth bear, but the first one I've learned to mend.
